Ah, hello. You've reached Sophie, but I must be in the midst of something. If you have a question about self-defense or Teachers' Council, leave a message letting me know what precisely you're interested in and I'll get back to you.
...everyone else, do as you do, I suppose.

If this blows up in your face, I expect to hear about it immediately.
[she's serious]
no subject
...you'll probably be the first to know in any case. And so long as I can gloat that I was right I'll be happy to share.
no subject
Not probably, Draco, all right? Gloating or not.
no subject
...fine. Not probably. Definitely. I suppose you deserve to know considering how long we've been here talking about this.
no subject
Mm, exactly. Quite entitled. [or at least she's content with that fiction]

[that makes her laugh a little, and she shifts her legs so that she's less human pretzel and more lap-pillow]
Put your head up here and I'll do you one better.

[but luckily for draco sophie's muscular enough that her thigh makes a fair pillow. after all of this, she's finally letting go of his hand, but that's because one needs both hands for a proper head and neckrub. somebody noticed draco's headache]
no subject
I doubt that. Pans was always very skinny even as we got older.
no subject
Really? Well then, at least you're used to all the comfort of a scrawny pillow.
[one of her hands is warmer than the other, since he was holding it, but the heat doesn't stay with her very long]
no subject
She spoiled me. A lot. I think I forgot how much I actually missed it.
no subject
I had never spoiled anyone before here. I don't think I mind doing it. What is she like?
no subject
...Pansy's...Pansy. She's loud and abrasive and kind of catty but all the same she's a good friend. If you're on her good side, she's incredibly loyal and loving. I've known her since I was four or five, I can't even remember. She's just always been a part of my life, and one day I woke up when I was twelve and she approached me in the common room and told me I was her boyfriend now. That's just how things worked. I never really had to do anything but be with her and she'd be more than happy to shower me with presents and headrubs and what have you. It was great.
no subject
[that goes a way to explaining draco and euri, actually.]
She informed you? I think I like her.
[it may be somewhat obvious that sophie is familiar with tension headaches, since she seems pretty good at finding the sore spots in between time spent just massaging his scalp]
no subject
You probably would. She's a bitch, but I still adore her in a really bizarre sort of way. [And the fact he's talking about Pansy at all says quite a bit, seeing how he's careful not to mention her around Jade at all.] She humored me a lot. I think she just didn't care because she was so in love with me.
[Beeesssst friiiiend.] Mm. How obvious was it that my head's been kiling me for days?
no subject
[she chuckles] Not bizarre at all. It sounds like she's a good friend to you.
Tense shoulders, tight neck and jaw, covering your eyes from the light. Moderately obvious. [ooor sophie's creepily observant, one of those. her fingers move to his neck, rubbing at the base of his skull]
no subject
...yeah. She was. It's hard to say how things are going to turn out after this rubbish is all over.
[And Draco's not? He gets it, it's fine to be a little creepily observant.] This Jade debacle's been giving me migraines for the last few days. I can't stand it.
no subject
True enough. Obviously she liked you even though you're a spoiled prat, though, so don't write it off yet.
[she says while carefully trying to work the knots out of the back of his neck]
I'm not sure I've ever actually seen someone worry themselves sick before.
no subject
Well. She sort of doesn't realize I broke up with her earlier this year. Wizarding wars aren't exactly the best time to be having relationship problems. [He hisses a bit as she brushes over a particularly large knot, tempted to swat her away but deciding better of it.]
...well, congratulations. Now you have. You should have met me when I was sixteen. [So. Last year. When he'd go for long stints of time not sleeping, being too physically sick to eat much, and generally freaking out every single time he breathed. It was fun. Really.]
